A roofing website should answer three questions without making a customer dig: Do you handle the work I need? Do you serve my area? How do I get an estimate?
Those questions shaped our website design work for New Era Roofing, which serves residential and commercial customers across Tampa Bay and West Central Florida. The project gave us a chance to organize a broad range of roofing services into a website that visitors can navigate by their actual needs.
Here is a closer look at the decisions behind the design. You can also view the full New Era Roofing case study for desktop and mobile screenshots.
Give different customers a clear starting point
A homeowner researching a roof repair and a business owner looking into commercial roofing need different information. We gave residential and commercial services their own routes instead of treating every visitor as the same customer.
The service navigation also separates roof repairs, replacements, inspections, metal roofing, tile roofing and storm-related work. Each subject has a specific place in the website rather than being buried in one long description.
For contractors reviewing their own sites, this is a useful starting point: name services the way customers ask for them. A visitor should not have to understand your internal business structure to find the right page.
Explain where the company works
Service information answers what New Era Roofing does. Separate service-area navigation and a regional map answer where it works. The site identifies coverage across eight counties, including Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco. For a business working both inside and outside Tampa city limits, our Tampa website planning guide explains how to describe the territory customers can actually book.
Keeping those two subjects distinct was deliberate. A customer can explore a roofing service and then check the location information without sorting through a mixed list of services and cities.
Your own service-area information should be just as direct. List the places you actually cover, and explain any limits. Accuracy matters more than adding a city name to every paragraph.
Put the estimate request where it belongs
New Era Roofing’s website places phone and free-estimate links alongside its service information and in the navigation. Someone ready to ask about roofing work has a clear next step.
Our approach keeps useful information and the relevant contact action close together. A page about roof repairs should help someone understand the service and reach the company about that work.
Keep the same priorities on mobile
The project includes desktop and mobile layouts. On a smaller screen, the priorities stay the same: a recognizable business identity, readable service information and a straightforward contact route.
When reviewing a contractor website on your phone, follow one complete path. Find a service, check the coverage area and reach the contact option. That exercise tells you more about the experience than looking only at the top of the homepage.
Explore the project, then look at your own website
The New Era Roofing case study brings the service structure, regional coverage and responsive presentation together. It includes desktop and mobile screenshots and a closer look at the design choices.
